The Student Educational Support Program (SESP) was designed to improve the academic preparedness of Afghan high school girls across six provinces. Through targeted interventions, 1,600 girls in grades X–XII received specialized instruction in Mathematics, English, and Computer Studies. The English program followed the IRC system, while computer courses included training in Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. A team of 28 skilled instructors delivered the program within school premises, ensuring accessibility and high-quality learning. The initiative enhanced girls’ academic competencies, broadened their future opportunities, and directly addressed critical barriers in secondary education. By equipping adolescent girls with advanced subject knowledge and digital skills, the project contributed to narrowing the gender gap in education and advancing long-term empowerment of women in Afghanistan.
