Early Child Development Program (ECDP)

 

Early Child Development Program (ECDP) is an early childhood education program for children from age 5 to 6 years old.  The main purpose of this program is to create educational opportunities for children to prepare them for the first grade of primary school. This program is for nine months and 30 students participate in each ECDP class. During the nine-month period, seven subjects including Dari and English alphabet, Dari and English numberings, Drawing and children melody songs are taught in ECDP classes. At the beginning of the program, Shining Star Educational Organization of Afghanistan provides stationeries, teaching materials and classroom materials to the beneficiaries of this program. In 2019-2020 The total of 750 children directly benefit from this program in 25 classes in six provinces including: Kabul, Kapisa, Kunar, Laghman, Nangarhar and Badakhshan.
