About Us
Her education, our mission
Shining Star Educational Organization of Afghanistan (SSEOA) is a non-profit, non-governmental, and non-political organization registered with the Ministry of Economy of Afghanistan (Registration No. 4388) on 18 February 2018, and operational since 2016.
We work in education, youth support, and agriculture and food security in remote regions — creating opportunities for girls and women to grow, thrive, and prosper, because without educating girls, peace and prosperity are not possible.

Organizational Overview
Experienced leadership, local delivery
SSEOA is led by an Executive Body — the Executive Director, Deputy Director, Finance Manager, and Program Manager — with long experience in national and international organizations. Strategic governance sits with a five-member Board of Directors drawn from government and NGO leadership.
Our teams are known for discipline, organization, and efficiency. Together they deliver education and livelihood programmes in some of Afghanistan’s most remote and underserved communities.

Since 2018, SSEOA has delivered more than 28 projects in Kabul, Kapisa, Badakhshan, Takhar, Kunar, Laghman, Nangarhar, Balkh, Herat, and Nuristan — including current programmes in Parwan.

What We Do
Education at the centre of every programme
From community classrooms and early childhood classes to school feeding, women’s livelihoods, and emergency school support.
Education
Education is the cornerstone of SSEOA. We expand access to quality learning for children — especially girls — in remote and underserved communities through Community-Based Education, Early Childhood Development, Kankor preparation, school support, and teacher training.
Youth Support
SSEOA equips Afghan youth with skills, confidence, and pathways to lead. Through vocational training, literacy, civic engagement, and leadership programmes, we help young people — particularly girls and women — build brighter futures.
Agriculture and Food Security
SSEOA supports remote communities with practical livelihood skills that improve food security and household income. From dairy production and cow husbandry to mushroom cultivation and climate-smart farming, we help families — especially women — earn, eat, and stay resilient.
